If it weren’t for Amanda Pasdon, Jeff Schreiber may never have met his wife. That’s no lie. It was on St. Patrick’s Day in 2002 that Jeff, hanging out with friends in a Conshohocken, PA bar, heard the boisterous, central Georgia-built southern accent of Amanda and immediately took notice. With Amanda at the bar was Amanda’s cousin, Joanna, whom Jeff would meet, date and marry a little more than two years later.
The thing is, Amanda is so much more than an inadvertent matchmaker. She’s strong, she’s smart, she’s principled, and she has built a solid career on business development and growth in both her native Georgia and her relatively new home in Morgantown, West Virginia, where she is currently running for an open seat in the 44th District of the House of Delegates.
Currently working as Director of Business Development for the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Amanda has also been involved in the Governor’s Office of Health Enhancement and Lifestyle Planning (GO HELP), Morgantown Chamber of Commerce, Generation Morgantown, Generation West Virginia, Miss West Virginia USA Pageant, The Ronald McDonald Charity House and American Red Cross.
Amanda first contributed to America’s Right in March 2010, and we hope to hear more from her as her campaign continues, and beyond.
