And It Begins?

CBS3 Philly: Police: IED Found Near Chester (PA) Train Tracks

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) – Chester police are urging vigilance after they found an improvised explosive device, this afternoon, near Amtrak and Septa railroad tracks and the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Police say the device consisted of two bottles with a yellow liquid inside. They say one had a timer and wires attached by duct tape.

Police were not sure if the device was really explosive but evacuated the area as a precaution. The Delaware County bomb squad determined that it was and disarmed it.

Not good.  Especially considering this: Bin Laden Planned to Attack U.S. Trains on 9/11 Anniversary.

And Harry Reid wants to build hundreds of miles of unprotected high speed rail.
If I was a terrorist, or just deranged, I would be salivating.

Bull-honkey. Radical Islamic jihad existed long before we went into Iraq, etc. You’re putting the cart before the horse.

“Bull-honkey. Radical Islamic jihad existed long before we went into Iraq, etc. You’re putting the cart before the horse.”

Yes Radical Islamic Jihad has existed long before Iraq. We fought the Barbary States just shortly after the founding of our Nation after they were attacking our shipping and taking hostages. We went in, took them out, then left. Thats how it is supposed to be done. We didn’t try to spread Democracy, do nation rebuilding, or leave behind a police force to maintain watch.

For the last 110 years or so we have been intervening in the affairs of foreign countries because they do things we do not like. If the people of those foreign countries don’t like their governments, then let them overthrow them. It is not our duty to do it for them. We helped Bin Laden and the Taliban fight the Soviets in the 80s, then they turn around and attack us. We supported Saddam and Iraq in the Iraq/Iran war. Then Iraq invades Kuwait because the Kuwaiti’s were slant drilling into Iraqi oil fields, and then the Iraqi’s become the bad guys. We give foreign aid to dictators like Mubarak of Egypt to oppress the people in the name of peace and stability. It has just been released too that the Federal Reserve gave money to bailout the Bank of Libya, which is State owned, which funds Gaddafi to do as he pleases. No wonder the people of these countries hate us. How many other dictators do we support around the world? We give aid to Pakistan to fight the War on Terror and yet Osama has been killed hiding in Pakistan, and may have been hiding there this whole time. And if all that it took to find him was a small insertion of a SEAL team, why have full combat brigades deployed? What exactly is our money and interventionist policy buying us but bankruptcy and hatred towards us from all over the world?

Jordan — you argue the noninterventionist, libertarian position well. As far as your bigger picture goes, I cannot say that I disagree. As far as radical Islam, those bastards will want us dead regardless of our foreign policy.
