Race, Rush and the Rams

Assigned Reading: Defending the Invincible
(FROM: Hot Air)

While I’m sure that many folks saw Rush Limbaugh’s Wall Street Journal op-ed this weekend about race, football and conservatism, the real gem wasn’t Limbaugh’s take on the happenings of last week — it was a commentary by a blogger calling him or herself “Doctor Zero” over at HotAir.com.

The events of the past week were about more than simply thwarting Limbaugh’s desire to buy into a football team. There was the naked greed of parasites like Al Sharpton, desperate to maintain his relevance in a world that has wisely stripped him of the power to destroy a man’s life with a phony rape allegation, or launch murderous riots. There was the blind personal hatred of Limbaugh, by people who long ago tired of watching him rewrite their plans for the part of America that refuses to submit to them. And, of course, this was the latest offensive in a bitter war against the ideas that Limbaugh has long served, as their most cheerful and effective defender. Limbaugh’s enemies in that war are angry because they’re frightened. They’re frightened because all of their estimates and projections said they should have been able to claim victory by now.

Limbaugh’s accusers want him burned at the stake for the crime of effective conservatism, not the racism they were so eager to lie about last week. The American public should think long and hard about which side of this ideological struggle should be on trial. Rush Limbaugh’s ideas did not produce a titanic deficit, double-digit unemployment, and global adversaries who can barely stop laughing at our President long enough to pretend they respect him. His ideas did not put disciples of Saul Alinsky, Chairman Mao, and Alex Jones in positions of power. His words are not deployed to conceal hundreds of billions in stolen “stimulus” money, thousand-page Mad Lib bills riddled with blank paragraphs, and massive offenses against individual liberty. His EIB Network endorses $1500 Sleep Number beds, not “saved or created” jobs costing half a million bucks apiece. Unlike the “Hope and Change” Administration, he doesn’t spend his three hours on the radio each weekday listing all the things you will no longer be allowed to do. He is the champion of ideas so powerful that his enemies fear the merest taste of them.

This piece, friends and neighbors, was absolutely brilliantly written. I enjoyed it thoroughly and, while I’ve managed to isolate two excerpts, I beg you to read the entire thing. What happened to Rush Limbaugh last week was far bigger than football or even Rush himself, and it’s important we understand exactly what we’re up against.

    Hi Jeff -

    That was excellent!

"We can make it up to Rush by giving him the chance to deliver a hell of a show on the day after Election Day, next year."

That sounds like a good plan to me!

If they can easily do this to Rush, imagine what they will do to you or I.
    Be afraid, be very afraid!

The Rams suck, that investment money would be better spent on a militia.

Conservatives can behave like a poster child of Mother Theresa and Mahatma Gandhi and they will still be branded as racists. These accusation might sound hollow to people with brains but those are a dying breed, thanks to continuous efforts of our wonderful education system. So I say, if we pay the price of being racists anyway, why not to embrace the benefits? Whites are still a majority (not for long though), and the white anger will be a force strong enough to put ANY politician who harnesses it into any office of the land, yet – I am convinced – it will NOT be directed against honestly working people of color.

Nah, we are too gentlemen. We will continue to believe that if we play by the rules, pray often enough and replace one pack of weasels with another, demographic trends will miraculously change by themselves. It won't happen, folks – even the Lord is now THAT almighty.

I have a very Democratic, Jewish attorney brother who lives in St. Louis – he is blind to any rationale and stands on his "tradition" of voting Democratic. So, if he's into football, the Rams is what he has. He will not even listen to a radio station which he has listened to most of his life because now Rush is on that station. I'm certain he's "rah-rah-ing" over the fact that Rush has now been eliminated from the investor group which wants to buy the Rams. However, I believe that the Hungarian socialist George Soros, who now controls the Democratic party, is still in that investment group. I would only assume that since he refuses to look into the facts, he doesnt' know (or if he does know will not acknowledge) that George Soros has admitted that he "outed" Jews to the Germans in WWII, telling the German soldiers where Jews were hiding. Even if I told him, I doubt if he would listen, even though Mr. Soros has openly said this himself in interviews. Oh, the hypocrisy of the Jewish people who voted for this anti-semite and those who surround (and control) him.

I think Rush got the veto on the purchase not so much for what he says but for the fact that he WILL say it! The NFL is a closed club of crooks and with that much money, there is some behind the scenes stuff that they don't want Rush(or anybody else)to know about because he would blab it for us all to hear. That's why they didn't want him in their "club".

It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).

Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. He is reaping what he has sowed, KARMA, "palin and simple" like his followers. Don’t we all feel better?

Meanwhile Jay-Z (rapper) can be part owner of a team and sing pro-black songs at Obama's inauguration. Yet, no one raises an eyebrow.

Rush Limbaugh: Transcript of radio broadcast from Oct. 14, 2008
    By Keith Vance
TRANSCRIPT OF RUSH LIMBAUGH ON HIS RADIO SHOW FROM OCT. 14, 2008

Editor’s note: This is a verbatim transcript of Limbaugh explaining how ACORN, Barack Obama, Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright are all involved in a radical leftwing conspiracy to teach black kids to hate America.

From the time of my birth 57 years ago to today, this country has grown and expanded, prosperity has opened its doors for more and more people around the world, not just people born in this country.

We know the stories of asians immigrating and running rings around people born in this country academically in California. We know all about the immigration, legal and illegal, to get into the country. We know that the standard of living has risen. We know that technological advancement is going along at light speed.

And yet, during this period of time, whether it be the last 57 years, or the last 20 years, it seems that the majority of the black population has remained angry, frustrated and behind – they’ve been left behind. They’re acting like they’ve been left behind, and of course we’ve heard that this is because of racism, natural systemic institutional racism in America. We’re unfair. That this country is just horrible and rotten.

Do you ever ask yourself how it is that people not even born here can come here and in a few short years begin prospering in school, they’re own business, and yet people who are born in this country somehow have been raised to hate it – to still think they’re back in the days of slavery.

I actually think, after studying all this ACORN stuff, and reading what Stanley Kurtz has written about this, I actually believe that what has taken place here, in addition to liberal Democrat legislation – such as the great society and the war on poverty, which a lot of people would now acknowledge really busted up the black family by the government taking the place of a husband and father – he’s free to roam around and bear no responsibility. The mother remained the mother, she got the financial assistance from this legislation from the federal government. The federal government became the father. The father didn’t have to hang around in order for the kids to be OK – depending on how you define OK.

And as you study more and more of this ACORN stuff you find that it has been part of an entire movement that has been going for two maybe three decades right under our noses. We thought that it was just liberal welfare policies and all that that kept blacks from progressing while other minorities grew and prospered but no. It is these wackos from Bill Ayers to Jeremiah Wright to other anti-american afro-centric black liberation theologists, working with ACORN, and Barack Obama is smack dab in the middle of it. They have been training young black kids to hate hate hate this country. And they trained their parents before that to hate hate hate this country. It was a movement. It was a Bill Ayers anti-capitalist anti-american educational movement. ACORN is how it was implemented right under our noses.

They’re doing far more folks than just cheating when it comes to elections and registration. They’re in deep in this mortgage crisis. ACORN and Obama, and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, the Democrat Party have their fingerprints the sub-prime mortgage crisis. The whole concept of affordable housing was people who can’t afford a mortgage are going to get one, because America is unfair.

It has been a movement. It has been a religion. And Obama and Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers were all up to their big ears in it.
