Surprise! Van Jones a ‘Truther’!

Okay, so not only is this guy a proud Communist, a radical enviro-socialist and an overall prick, but he also believes that the federal government was responsible for the attacks of September 11, 2001. Hats off to the folks at Gateway Pundit for doing more vetting than the Obama administration cared to do.

Or, on second thought, maybe the White House did in fact vet Jones. Maybe that’s the reason they wanted him. He hates America, he’s a socialist — gosh, he’s like a beefier, bespectacled version of the Commander in Chief.

Personally, I like Allahpundit’s explanation of the Van Jones pick over at HotAir:

[A]t this point I think Jones’s hiring is best explained not as a breakdown in vetting but as a goof by Obama to see just how much crap the media will let him get away with. “Hey Rahm — bet you 20 bucks I can get a Truther communist appointed to an environmental oversight position.” … I’ve been trying to come up with a joke all morning about what sort of leftist lunatic might be next on O’s hiring list, but I simply can’t top “Truther communist.” Congratulations, Barry: You’re now parody-proof.

It kind of reminds me of the selection of Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court.

For the life of me, I couldn’t put my finger on why the president would nominate a woman of such questionable credentials and with such a colorful past to replace the retiring Justice David Souter. My first inclination was that Sotomayor was a Harriet Miers-like trial balloon, suggested only to pave the way for a future candidate less desirable idologically but with otherwise decent credentials on the bench, but the Democrats had the votes to push anybody by that they saw fit anyway, so that didn’t make sense. My second thought was that the administration still couldn’t vet anybody properly, but seeing that Sotomayor’s membership in La Raza and such was so readily available, that didn’t seem to be the case.

Finally, I settled on the simplest possible reason, that the president looked at Sonia Sotomayor, saw the Latina mirror image of himself, and was just arrogant enough to figure that he could slip her by an obedient media. It made sense — Sotomayor is a minority, she has an extraordinary story starting with an unconventional childhood, she could care less about the Constitution, and she deems “social justice” more important than the rule of law.

Van Jones is the same way. Barack Obama knows all about this guy, but he doesn’t care. Jones was selected for his position because Obama sees himself in him, and in an office which did not demand Senate confirmation, Jones would be free to say and do all of the things Obama himself would like to say and do but cannot because of the high profile of the presidency.

So it doesn’t surprise me that Jones is a 9/11 ‘truther.’ It disgusts me, for sure, but all I can do is add that to the list of things which disgust me about Jones and this administration. Thankfully, the American people seem to be waking up for this nonsense, and it’s only a matter of time before the president will no longer be able to get away with anti-Americanism by proxy.

Lt. Bush's opportunity to fly jets and serve his country came through the Air National Guard when he was 22 years old. Like Bush, my goal as a young man was to fly high-performance jet-fighter aircraft, and both of us realized our dream. I don't remember looking ahead at that time in my life (and I'm sure Bush didn't either) to what missions we could be assigned peacetime or wartime. All we wanted to do as young men was to fly these magnificent flying machines (jets) and enjoy the opportunity to serve our country. Contributing to the Air National Guard's air-defense mission, Bush flew hundreds of hours in the F-102, the world's first supersonic, all-weather jet-interceptor aircraft; he served his country protecting the United States.
    =================================

I can't imagine any of these community organizers or revolutionaries having the smarts or skills to fly F-102's.

A "Truther", eh. Makes me wonder about the level of his science background.

Just exactly how many courses in biology or physical science does he have?

In other words, just exactly what are his _qualifications_ – other than being an activist – for being the "Environmentalist in chief"?
Sounds like he's right up there with Al Gore…

Before Glenn Beck gets his pultizer you need to understand what he saying …. Forget black, forget white, forget left, forget right….. What he is trying to tell you AMERICA is "How can someone this this much hate for America and his background get this close to the president??"

    Understand that …..

This is what he is saying… this is the part that is scarey… Where is the FBI??? Really, where are they to let someone get this close to the President…

  7. Anonymous says:

Obviously he could get that close to the president because Obama said, "It's OK. He's a friend." Obama and Valerie knew he wasn't in danger. He was on their side. This is exactly why the WH said they didn't want the FBI checking out his people anymore, they would do it themselves.

    Lord help us all.

The FBI has been marginalized as the CIA will be as this agenda is implemented by these traitors. It is UNBELIEVABLE that we have no one ON GUARD and we are VERY vulnerable at this moment. Our country has been invaded by a dangerous group of idealogues who are poised to wreak havoc on our democracy. Even if Van Jones was forced out, there are more waiting in the wings ready to unleash their pent up feelings of hatred for our country. All of us will have to ask ourselves how much we are willing to risk to preserve our freedom. As I listen to Jones, it is like listening to X and I agree he will be allowed to say the things O wishes he could say out loud. They are two of a kind but unfortunately, they have a lot of company.

It makes me sick that NO ONE in the media is covering this…..except Beck. To have a self-avowed communist/Marxist advising the president? An no one cares?!

  10. sharon says:

I agree anonymous.. where are they? therein lies the problem. The obedient media and god only knows what other forces have certainly dropped the ball deliberately on this one… I check the CNN website occasionally, and still no mention at all about Van Jones, his beliefs, or his ties with the administration.

Jamie: Philip Berg never made any attempt to hide the fact that he's a strong Hillary supporter and that he's a Democrat. So, no surprise there.

Call the White House about this Communist and the other mysteriously appointed czars. Demand to know their background, when they were vetted and how much they're being paid. If they're taking your tax dollars, you deserve to know how many of those dollars they're taking.

    White House: 202-456-1414

  13. Robert Wallace says:

At the very least, this means the White House has just shot one of its pet strategies in the foot.

In the past they have marginalized their opponents by smearing them as wide-eyed conspiracy theorists, but that becomes a tough brush to use when you've got avowed 9-11 Truthers in your own administration.

There goes a valuable PR weapon.

I'm sure they'll get *some* use out of it, but the evidence on Van Jones is just much, much to clear and obvious to be able to be kept out of the MSM indefinitely, especially since the MSM has been showing signs of unwillingness to keep up their pre-election front of "all positive, all the time" coverage on Obama.

  14. Robert Wallace says:

So… it's already hit the MSM:

obama ascended to the highest office and he happens to be of Black and White dna but MLK, a minister said do not let the color of a person's skin sway you in any way. treat him according to his character.

obama will be removed from office by impeachment or a no-confidence vote because of THE CONTENT OF HIS CHARACTER.

obama is in that office to show us that you can reach the highest office in the land but if you are lacking in character it will be taken away from you in disgrace regardless of your color.

  16. Anonymous says:

someone asked how he got so close to the president… because obama wanted it that way. … because obama has a no questions asked and my czars report to only me.

obama was hoping this was the way to protect anyone who might dare raise questions about Jones and his other band of misfits. he was wrong.

  17. Anonymous says:

in his effort to flaunt his "power" such as he assumes he has by going after beck van jones gave us a gift: a legitimate reason to open the door and check out all the rooms in the mind of obama & co. and there will be no birth-certificate shell game this time.

we are no longer "intrusive," and "its his pastor, not him," etc. now we are responding to a dangerous warning.

my strong feeling now is that we are about to understand the obama plan.

how many times have we said to ourselves, "why?
i have come to the conclusion obama's win(?) has less to do with him deserving a win as it has to do with teaching a country – millions of people a very important lesson.

imo, because of obama, America will never be casual with her votes ever again. Young and old will get to know how their government works and how much power we the people have and how our Constitution is such a beautiful document and what blessings God must have bestowed on the thinkers who framed it. it is always the remedy when followed as it is written.

  18. Anonymous says:

BECAUSE OF OBAMA we will know not rely on ANOTHER person to simply TELL us to simply "trust" him when he says he is a bona fide american. now if we have doubts we will demand proof.

because of obama we will demand proof of patriotism. we will demand results of your action and true feelings on SERVING this country as opposed to concern to serve yourself first.

because of obama flaky candidates will dare not try for high office. sure some will but they will be scrutinized and turned down if they miss the mark

we will listen intently when candidates speak. we will scrutinize his questionable relationships. no one is responsible for ALL the people they cross paths with, but with close relationships is another story.

we will disect their written words; their thoughts, their books, their recent thought process before they began to run for office and investigate any lies they tell..

  19. Anonymous says:

Because of obama many journalists will fade away – many will become better at their jobs and become better people.

imo, obama has done enough damage to be impeached and found guilty. i hope it happens.

because of obama we have proven that we are not a racist country and that just because a person of any color doesnt make it to president it has to do with the same reasons any white person never makes it. Its one of those jobs many attempt to achieve and never succeed at. it has zip to do with color. if you intend to become a candidate it is up to YOU to be smart enough to create the confidence to win votes.

obama is in office not to be the great president some think he will be. obama is in office to teach America a lesson to be careful with the gifts God has kindly given her and not to abuse them.

obama almost got away with pushing us into a dictatorship. we came that close but America is back in charge. We will watch obama and hold him accountable.

The same way we would treat any president that screws up obama is an equal opportunity president and the same heat needs to be applied witout fear of being called racist.

That's not what the article says at all. It's a Republican calling for Van Jones to resign.
