Cheney Was Only Half-Right

Assigned Reading: WH Fires Back After Cheney Calls CIA Probe ‘Political’
(FROM: Fox News)

You know, on this one, I gotta say that the former vice president may have only been partially correct. Is the Justice Department’s decision to investigate and possibly prosecute CIA officials for the enhanced interrogation of terrorists political? Absolutely. But–as much as I don’t want to say this about Cheney–it would be naive to think that this wasn’t somehow rooted in ideology, too.

Of course, the Obama administration decided to pull the trigger on the CIA probe because the American people had been pulling the plug on the administration’s plans to pull the plug on grandma. The health care reform measure was getting hammered everywhere, so the time was ripe for distraction.

Remember, though, that this is an administration which taped its first on-camera, sit-down interview for Arab television, and that this is a president who has felt it necessary to embark on a worldwide apology tour, who has had no problem sitting through 45-minute-long lectures on America-as-the-Devil by South American leaders, and whose first move was a knee-jerk reaction to close the facility at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. It’s not that Barack Obama and his flunkies don’t “get it” when it comes to the fight against terrorism worldwide — they do. The problem is that, to them, America is a nation that needs to be taken down a notch, that America is a nation that asserts itself too much in world politics, and that America is inherently ignorant, arrogant, and unfair. America, to these people, can do no right.

The decision to look backward when it came to the CIA probe is not surprising. This administration has prided itself for acting against American interests in terms of business and commerce — why not act against American interests in terms of national security as well?

You left out of your list the lack of acknowledging our National Day of Prayer yet wished well the Muslims for the Ramadan, that he stated we are not a Christian nation and that America is one of the largest Muslim nations on the planet.

It is absurd that this bunch of clowns, who have never done anything for their country, want to investigate people who have actually contributed to our safety since 9/11! This is outrageous that we are allowing this…can't wait 'til the administration after Obama wants to investigate him…if there is an administration after him. When they talk about wanting to insure that the US abides by the rule of law, I want to throw up! What hypocricy and deceit that resides in this group of misfits. The question we should all ask ourselves is "Which terrorists are more dangerous…those outside our country or the sleazy, lying marxists that are ruining our country from the WH".

PAYBACK…In the next few months, watch for mysterious leaks against Obama, coming from Kenya, or Hawaii!

This is an absolute disgrace. Just when you think this administration can't stoop any lower…..

Who in their right mind is going to want to be apart of the CIA now? Knowing full well that your actions could come into question by some administration in the future. Unbelievable.

What about this–the court case out in California next week on September 8? How about the petition for a federal grand jury investigation in the D.C. District Court and the charges of treason?

If they don't pan out, if the Republicans can regain control of both houses of Congress in 2010, what's to prevent a Senate investigation into the eligibility of our Kenyan/Indonesian invalid president? How would that go for derailing this regime?
