Waiting Patiently for the Tipping Point

What more is it going to take? After we lose a military base in southeastern Europe, after most of Israel is vaporized, are we to assume that only then we’ll wake up to the threat posed by Iran? With news today that Iran has tested a long-range surface-to-surface missile, certainly enough to reach Israel and beyond, what else do we need?

Over and over again, we’ve heard the excuse that Iran, home of one of the world’s largest repositories of oil, is seeking peaceful nuclear energy. Even if that’s conceivable, where do the missiles fit in?

I worry that people on both sides of the aisle have forgotten how to discern good from evil, have become so consumed by the trappings of political correctness that they would dismiss even Adolf Hitler if given the chance. Finally, Israel has a man like Netanyahu at the helm and how does the United States respond? Instead of unequivocal support of a country wanting only to defend itself from destruction, we make support contingent upon the acceptance of a two-state solution, the Israeli accommodation of people who refuse to accommodate–or even acknowledge–Israel.

Nothing good can come of this. I just hope that our elected officials wake up before complacency in the name of political correctness costs thousands and thousands of innocent lives.

  1. Jasonz says:

Oh Jeff, you’re such a worry wart … Don’t you know these long-range ballistic missles are for purely peaceful, civilian purposes? Like delivering oil rapidly, no doubt …

Time for Israel to bail out the world … Again …and this time they should charge for services rendered … Saving billions of lives.

  2. HEY BRO says:

How long till we see pictures of Obama fist bumping this character?

Though your questions at the beginning of the article are purely rhetorical, I had to say something: This Government wants any excuse to further the One World cause. President Imajackass will provide that excuse. So, yes, it will require more for the Government to do anything.

Obama: How to Lose Friends and Endanger Americans

From a Christian, compassionate Republican to an illegal Communist immigrant–yeah, we can believe that!

I just read an email about all the things that Obama said he didn’t know or was aware of. Don’t tell me that he doesn’t know that Americans want to see proof he’s eligible to sit at the Resolute Desk; he’s paying big bucks to prevent having to do so.

He’s buddy-buddy with all the dictators and Communist leaders, and don’t forget the pile of money he sent to his Hamas friends in Pakistan.

The best question I’ve seen asked this year is yours, Jeff: “Even if that’s conceivable, where do the missiles fit in?”

Time to pull out the comforting
email from you! In it you said, “So long as we revert to our core principles and ensure that others see the wisdom in it, we’ll be okay.”

Let me just ask everybody one question: Don’t you sleep better at night knowing that Jeff is awake and on the ball? (I do!)

Word to verify = flatot (flatout)
Guess that’s a Southern verification word.

President Obama is trying to engage diplomatically with Iranian leaders, in an effort to settle differences over its missile and nuclear programs, and other issues…NEXT YEAR!

Oh hummm?…I'm not sure what to think, why should I be concerned? I'm a gentile after all.. >sarcasm< off/

I bet dollars to doughnuts, Obama sounds just like GWB in a week or so.(missle defense shield) – or – He chooses to continue the wait until next year some time.

Unfortunatly for Isreal, the Iranians are in as big a rush as Obama to do their best to get "their things" done, this year.

We will all have to wait. This new guy does nothing without peering to the weather vanes, before saying squat. (a lesson he learned after the invasion of Georgia by the Russian peacekeepers/ and his three statements, each a bit tougher than the prior) So now we are bound by the weather vane time line. So please, everyone, make some noise about this, so Obama doesn't take three weeks before offering a weak statement.

While we wait, I'll be putting an extra hundred or so pounds of can goods in the pantry….

I believe that the king of Jordon is absolutely correct when he said that if the Israeli/Palestinian situation isn’t resolved before the end of the year, there will be all-out war in the mid-East in 12-18 months.

The problem is, of course, that there really are no options for Israel; every so-called politcal “solution” guarantees the demise of Israel; it will just take a little longer. Remember what I said in an earlier comment about “Demography is Destiny”. The Palestinian/Arab population will become a majority within a very short time and simply declare Israel a non-entity.

Israel’s best and only rational choice is to attack before being attacked – or an American administration pulls the rug out from under them by letting the rest of the region know that we won’t lift a finger to help them if they refuse to turn their future over to the U.S. dictates. Sounds sort of like the U.S. banks and auto companies, doesn’t it?

Can anyone explain why 84% of American Jews voted Democratic in the past election?

  9. Rix says:

If we keep playing Neville Chamberlain with the Iranian ajatollahs, we should likely expect the same “gratitude” from them. But we obviously know so little of European history that can’t recognize it when it bites our rear – or we’d see the striking similarity between the fall of Weimar Republic in Germany and our own predicament.

    Jeff: Propose a solution.

You are once again long on impassioned rhetoric and woefully short on actual, cognizable policy alternatives that would address the issues you raise.

Stop aiming to do nothing more than provoke a visceral response–spare your readers the cheap, salacious conjecture about a future of destroyed overseas military bases and vaporized allies. We know by now that you think such events are possibilities, so why not let us in on what you seem to KNOW needs to be done to prevent these outcomes? After all, I doubt you would be so self-righteously confident in the futility of our current policies while simultanerously having nothing substantive to offer in the form of realistic, workable alternatives.

You express hope that “our elected officials wake up,” but seem disinclined to describe what actions an awakened elected official would take under your foreign policy. When will our elected officials wake up *and do what, exactly*? Fill in the blank, Jeff.

And no, “when will our elected officials wake up and realize that we are fighting for our very existence against enemies who are right now laughing at us from their caves and would slit each and every one of our kindly old grandmother’s throats if given the chance,” wasn’t what I had in mind. Admittedly, it’s a classic for a reason, but let’s give it the day off.

  11. Dee says:

Old Bob, why indeed did so many Jews vote for BO? Why did the AARP support him? Why did the Catholics support him? His policies effect all of these groups and many more. Yesterday, I volunteered to be a Judge of Elections at one of the local districts. I had to take a 3 hour class to learn what my responsibilities were. During the class I met a man who thought that everyone there was probably a Democrat. He did not pay attention to anything that we had to learn and stated that he was sure that someone else at the polls would help him. There was a woman there who could not read the ballot. When I read it to her and told her that for certain judges she could vote for no more than 2 or no more than 5, she wanted to know how I knew that. I told her that it was written right there. She thought that maybe she needed new glasses. She was also a Democrat. These are the voters who voted for him. Many admitted that they only vote in Presidential elections. The good news I had yesterday was that 2 Democrats turned in applications to change their party to Republican. I also overheard a Democrat politician say how disappointed he was that the young people did not continue to be interested in this election. Maybe there is hope to stop this train.

  12. JEFF SCHREIBER says:

Anonymous — give Israel the leash to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, or do it ourselves. Iran has defied sanctions, refused to cooperate, and on several occasions has threatened another nation with annihilation.

You seem to be following the tack that there must be some sort of complex diplomatic, etc. solution. Nope. Deal with evil as evil should be dealt with. Destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities, and allow Israel to deal with any response from Hamas as it sees fit.

But we won’t do it, because our leadership is blind, and our president wants detente at all costs.

lets be honest with ourselves, they voted for his creamy tan skin and huge smile.

    Can anyone say “Mahdi”?

Remember, people, that Ahmadin. has declared himself as the “one” who is to bring about the return of the “madhi” (their messiah) through massive chaos and bloodshed. This is his sole reason for living…and the object of his carnage is the little satan (Israel) and the great satan (america).

The New World Order would like nothing more than NOT to have to deal with the unreliable and chaotic Middle East, so Obama, who talks constantly about a new world order in varying terms, is patiently waiting, possibly hoping that the “situation over there will take care of itself”. (JMHO)

The Muslims will have taken over most of Europe within the next 25 years due to the low birth rate of the Europeans and the high birth rate of the Muslims that live in these countries. The radical Muslims will have all of Europe in their power and will continue to try to take over the world. What is needed is for the true Muslims to show that the radicals are not true believers and that they need to be destroyed.
