A Staggering Waste

Assigned Reading: Murtha’s Earmarks Keep Airport Aloft
(FROM: The Washington Post)

For a detailed explanation of what exactly has gone wrong with Washington, D.C. and indeed the United States of America as a whole, look no further than Jack Murtha. The Pennsylvania Democrat is the very definition of bureaucratic excess in a nutshell and, not to mention, is an ungrateful, traitorous, Class-A jerk to boot.

Set aside, for a moment, the absolutely disgusting sentiments of a bitter old liberal painting United States Marines as executioners and cold-blooded killers. For just a moment, look not how he misrepresents the nature of the brave men and women who lay their lives on the line for America overseas, but instead how he misrepresents his constituents in the Keystone State and, by extension, every man, woman and child in this country.

Look at the corruption. Look at the self-dealing. Look at the favoritism. Look at the waste.

Read this piece from start to finish, tally up the taxpayer costs in your head as you go along, and tell me that you’re not as outraged as I am.

From “Murtha’s Earmarks Keep Airport Aloft” –

“Voelker, who was in the Air Force for 30 years, was brought in to manage the airport after a rocky period of uneven management. In 2007, the airport authority fired longtime manager Joe McKelvey after he used FAA funds to buy a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV to use at the airport. The FAA had initially approved the expense for a safety vehicle on the property, but other agency managers later questioned it.”

Guess Joe McKelvey used bad judgment in not buying a Hummer instead of a Chevy Tahoe SUV! Not enough money wasted, Joey!

How can they fire a guy over a drop in the bucket in comparison?

Then, on the other hand, it looks like Murtha saw “Field of Dreams.” The only field I see is a landing field, not an attraction for either tourists or industry.

We should have realized during the Dumbing down of the US, that all of them (murtha, pelosi, reid, dodd, franks) did not matter because it was all Bush's fault. This is a real good opportunity when there is no Bush and now these idiots have to stand on their own. We have to play pin the idiot to their record, what they say, and what they do. We should make it a video game. The gop should also put out an "idiot's guide on democrats & liberalism" as well. With their holier then thou antics. All of them are completely nuts.

  3. REBOOT CONGRESS says:

Shame on US for constantly re-electing these aholes. Our founders never meant Congress to be a full time job, let alone a freaking career. The biggest impact on this country would be to elect 435 all new ones, no matter how bad or even how good they now are, to send a message that WE are their term limits. Plus it would be fun to 1: get a new Speaker, and 2. watch them try and figure out how to assign committee chairs and elect a new speaker with NO SENIORITY now present in the body. HA Ha Ha what a show that would be. THEY ALL SUCK, BOTH PARTIES!

Murtha is and always has been a PIG…. there is NOT one good thing he has done for our Country in the last 30 years, however I see how he keeps getting re-elected, by buying votes, he stimulates the economy around him…..

  5. MURTHA SUCKS says:

Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But then I repeat myself.
    – Mark Twain

In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a congress.
    – John Adams

I don’t make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.
    – Will Rogers

In general, the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one party of the
citizens to give to the other.
    – Voltaire (1764)

The government is like a baby’s alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no responsibility at the other.
    – Ronald Reagan

There is no distinctly native American criminal class… save Congress.
    – Mark Twain

What this country needs are more unemployed politicians.
    – Edward Langley, Artist (1928-1995)

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
    – Thomas Jefferson

Only a democrat can win in Murtha’s district and Murtha OWNS the democrat party, especially in his town of Johnstown, PA. People are afraid of the unions and Murtha. I have several customers in Johnstown and after you speak with these people, you understand their fear. It’s unfortunate but all too real.

Someone should point this out to Jeanene Garafalo. This is what April 15th was about Ms. G, NOT racism as you continually spew!

I’m disgusted with people who vote only for a name they recognize. Our “educated?” voters need to familiarize themselves with the issues and the politicians they elect. I would never vote for anyone who insulted me. I guess Murtha’s voters don’t care.

It’s too bad the rest of the country has to suffer at the hands of arrogant jerks like this guy.

MURTHA SUCKS … thank you for a great collection of sayings … by some of the greatest thinkers and observers around!!

I thought Federal policy prohibited the naming of Federal installations after living persons … but with Murtha Airport and the slew of Obama elementary schools, I guess we’ve gotten over that “quaint custom” … perhaps we can look forward to the Janet Napoliatono International Frendship Border Crossing soon …
