I know I’m a little behind the eight-ball on this, but with all of the new developments in Philip Berg’s suit against Barack Obama, I haven’t been able to properly address the fallout surrounding Obama and Joseph Wurzelbacher, the Ohio plumber who singlehandedly provided those who oppose the Illinois senator with the perfect window of opportunity to talk not only about the batch of lies and misrepresentations which form the foundation of the Obama tax plan as it relates to the middle class and middle America, but also about Barack Obama’s ideology as a whole.
In the span of just three minutes, this “regular Joe” was able to make Obama admit something, in plain English, that his detractors have been screaming about for months.
He’s a socialist. He said it himself, telling Joe that he didn’t want to punish him for being successful, but wanted to give “everyone behind him” the chance to be successful by spreading the wealth.
And then what happened? The mainstream media, controlled by and filled to the brim with the American political left, began to tear apart the personal life of Joe Wurzelbacher, an American citizen who dared to ask a tough, pointed question of the coddled media Messiah. Within an hour, two dozen satellite trucks were parked in front of Joe’s house, and within 24 hours, the media was reporting that Joe hadn’t kept up with his proper licensing, owed some back taxes, and was subject to a lien on his house.
The media did, to Joe Wurzelbacher, in 24 hours what it failed to do to Barack Hussein Obama in 24 months — investigate. It sickens me. It makes me wonder what will come of our nation, as the mainstream press is so in the back pocket of a political party largely made up with people who dislike America and everything for which She stands. They did their level best to ruin this man and to leave no stone unturned simply for asking a valid question, yet they give a free pass to a presidential candidate who, besides being a socialist, has serious unanswered questions into campaign donations, into associations with terrorists and corrupt businessmen, into his very identity.
I don’t get it, and it scares me that this is the America that we have become. Should there be an Obama adminstration–probably, in that case, coupled with a democrat-controlled Congress–what kind of transparency should we expect as to the goings-on in Washington, D.C.? I worry that the media’s disdain for regular people who want to get involved–regular people, that is, who fall on the opposite side of their preferred portion of the political spectrum–will facilitate the complete erosion of our rights and foster reckless legislation on Capitol Hill.
