Farrakhan on Obama: ‘The Messiah is Absolutely Speaking’
(FROM: WorldNetDaily) Just read this one. Read it from top to bottom, and then read it again. Does nobody else see a problem with this? Does nobody else find it odd that Barack Obama is lauded by Louis Farrakhan as “the herald of the Messiah?” Does nobody else get a chill running down their spine–as opposed to a thrill running up their leg–when Farrakhan says the following?
“Would God allow Barack to be president of a country that has been so racist, so evil in its treatment of Hispanics, native Americans, blacks? Would God do something like that? Yeah. Of course he would. That’s to show you that the stone that the builders rejected has become the headstone of the corner. This is a sign to you. It’s the time of our rise. It’s the time that we should take our place. The future is all about you.”
Obama, to his credit, repudiated Farrakhan back in the spring, but the American people should know better. Farrakhan, like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Fr. Michael Pfleger, Rev. Otis Moss III and William Ayers, is a fixture in the Chicago-area power base. Pfleger and Wright have repeatedly praised the man who, in turn, has nothing by wonderful things to say about Obama. None of these people are good news. They all preach hate in the name of unity and advocate violence in the name of peace, and they all have one thing in common … Senator Obama.
Fictitious Donors Found in Obama Finance Records
(FROM: The New York Times) I give the New York Times credit for actually running this story. Actually, I don’t. It was run on page A-16, I think, but I know that if the story had been about John McCain, it would have been above the fold on the front cover. Furthermore, what amazes me is that the Times actually states that “[i]t is unclear why someone making a political donation would want to enter a false name” and suggests that it was done for privacy reasons. Privacy? Come on. It was one of two things — fraud, or contributions from overseas. Regardless, why isn’t the media trumpeting this with the same fervor and enthusiasm with which they reported on Hillary Clinton’s donations from Norman Hsu?
Obama Camp Downplays ACORN Payments
(FROM: The Washington Times) During the primaries, Barack Obama’s campaign paid $832,598 to ACORN-affiliated Citizens Services Inc. for feet-on-the-street work. ACORN–the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now–as it turns out, is now being federally investigated for voter fraud in ten different states. This is also a group which now receives $500 million in taxpayer money annually after Congress weaseled a provision into the last piece of socialist stop-gap legislation, the $300 billion housing bailout bill passed and signed by President Bush this summer. $500 million per year. To ACORN. I’ll let that sink in.

Alaska Committee Finds Palin Abused Power
(FROM: CNN) First, Palin was already cleared of any allegations by the initial investigation — that is, one which wasn’t instigated by supporters of Barack Obama. Second, where in this particular article does it mention that the trooper in question tasered a 10-year-old boy and threatened the life of Sarah Palin’s father? Third, wanna bet which story gets more coverage, this one or the story about Obama’s involvement with ACORN? Here’s a clue from the article, by the way, that this investigation was politically-motivated:
The bipartisan Legislative Council, which commissioned the investigation after Monegan was fired, unanimously adopted the 263-page public report after a marathon executive session Friday.
About 1,000 more pages of documents compiled during the inquiry will remain confidential because they involve private personnel matters, according to the council’s chairman, state Sen. Kim Elton.
“I believe that these findings may help people come to a conclusion on how they should vote” in the presidential election, Elton said.
So, is this about Palin and a trooper and power, or is this about influencing voters in an attempt to benefit Barack Obama in the upcoming election? Give me a break.
The End of American Capitalism?
(FROM: The Washington Post) And as we prepare to nationalize banks, where do we go from here? Medicine? Transportation and aviation? What’s amazing to me is that the blame for our current economic crisis is shifting to “the hands-off brand of capitalism” instead of being placed on an overreaching federal government where it belongs. While regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–such as the kind called for by John McCain in 2005 would have helped here, the regulation in question was needed more to keep our government action in check than anything else. The free market is the answer, but the politicians on Capitol Hill need to let it work.
Florida Cop Under Fire for Using Obama’s Middle Name ‘Hussein’
(FROM: The Post Chronicle) Last I checked, Barack Obama’s middle name is actually Hussein. Sheriff Mike Scott is likewise actually under investigation for using someone’s actual middle name. Kind of reminds me of how radio host Bill Cunningham used it back in February, only then John McCain chided him immediately afterwards for doing so and, hopefully, this time he’ll keep his mouth shut. McCain’s tendency to take high ground at all political costs, after all, was a major concern back then:
The placating gestures by McCain today, I fear, sheds light on a general election which will be fought not on foreign policy, economics or cultural issues but rather on soundbites, superficiality and white guilt. Once again, political correctness will put another nail in the coffin of the United States of America, and Sen. John McCain will apparently be wielding the hammer.
The Coming Obama Thugocracy
(FROM: National Review) The actions taken by the Obama camp so far in this election cycle, whether it be deploying so-called “Truth Squads” in Mizzouri to curtail anti-Obama speech or whether it be attempting to prevent investigative journalists critical of Obama–such as Stanley Kurtz, David Freddoso and Jerome Corsi–from addressing the masses on the radio, should be prima facie evidence that Obama will attempt to spit on the First Amendment by pushing for and supporting the reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine should be assume the presidency in January 2009. This piece, by Michael Barone, goes into great detail on his history of suppressing political speech so far.
